Weather Go Action is a Mac OS X Address Book plug-in that will allows you to get the current weather information for any entry in your Address Book. For those of you who are not familiar with the capabilities of your Address Book, several of the Fields, such as phone, email and webpage have pop-up menus that appear with Actions. Now, when you click on the address field label (ex. Home, Office), you have a new action at your disposal. "Weather For Zip…" will provide you with the current weather information from Weather.Com using your default Browser.

Midnight Mage Software announced the release of their new AOLMemoImporter, a Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) Spotlight Importer. At last, AOL Client customers can use Spotlight to search the content of all of their AOL Memos.

Midnight Mage Software announced the Beta test of their new AOLMemoImporter, a Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) Spotlight Importer. At last, AOL Client customers can use Spotlight to search the content of all of their AOL Memos. The software is in Beta form, and free to all testers willing to follow the Beta Test Agreement.

Spotlight is one the most useful and innovative new features of Mac OS 10.4. Tiger users are quickly learning to rely on this tool. With Spotlight, they can find almost anything, anywhere on their computer. Spotlight maintains an internal database of all data it understands, so that the users can search the content of their files at a moments notice. Unfortunately, the built-in importers (plug-ins that actually parse the files) that Apple provides does not support the AOL Memo format. Nor is AOL currently providing a solution. Midnight Mage Software steps forward to fill this need with AOLMemoImporter.

Simply download the Installer from the AOLMemoImporter Beta Test page. The Installation Wizard will step the customer through the install process. During the Beta test, credit card information will not be collected (i.e. this is a free beta test). The installer will place the components in the correct folder, and sort any existing AOL Memo files. From this point on, any new files created are automatically sorted into the Spotlight database for quick searches. Once installed, AOLMemoImporter provides the full power of Spotlight to AOL Client customers. Users can view the results of a search literally as fast as they can type in search words.

Google Go Actions are a set of Mac OS X Address Book plug-ins that will allow you to get Google directions and/or a Google map to any entry in your Address Book instantly. For those of you who are not familiar with the capabilities of your Address Book, several of the Fields, such as phone, email and webpage have pop-up menus that appear with Actions. Now, when you click on the address field label (ex. Home, Office), you have two new actions at your disposal:

• "Google Map For…" will show the map of this location using Google Maps as the default browser.
• "Google Directions To…" will launch Google Maps with directions to this location from your home address (assuming you have a Me entry in the address book with your primary address).

To further support their customers under Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger), Midnight Mage Software releases RollCall Directory 1.3.1, the latest version of the company's print utility for the Mac OS X Address Book. RollCall Directory has been updated to fully utilize the new features of Tiger, such as Smart Groups, expanded address book fields, and the varying sizes of contact pictures. Smart Groups, with it's ability to create contact groups that automatically update themselves, has been smoothly integrated and tested with RollCall Directory.

In addition, new International Address Formats are now supported, as well as the new multiple URL (web page) field.

Along with these new features, Midnight Mage Software artists are releasing new artwork so that you can see how easy it is to create labels for a variety of uses.

Finally, new Label Graphic options allow the user greater control on the placement of the art.

RollCall Directory continues to be the best way to print the address book or pictorial directory you may need and the labels you want.

We have been hitting the highways, both real and virtual, in order to get the word out regarding RollCall Directory. Come see our new On the Road webpage to hear about reviews of RollCall Directory and presentation we have done for various Mac User Groups (complete with pictures).

The Staff of Midnight Mage Software has recently returned from MacWorld San Francisco extremely charged up about our product. We were lucky enough to present RollCall Directory at the Apple User Group Kickoff. Thank you to all of those who made that evening so special for us.

One of the reasons we were so well received at the Kickoff was our recently announced RollCall Directory User Group Demonstration Program. Mac user group members can go to our website and learn how to demonstrate our products at their meetings. We can provided them with the content to give a killer presentation. Best of all, depending on the average attendance at the meeting, they may qualify for free registrations of RollCall to raffle off to the participants. This program is open to any RollCall Directory customer.

The other major change from MacWorld was the decision to start development of a Professional version of RollCall Directory. This one would have new and advanced features, beyond the scope of the basic program, while still presenting the same ease of use. Midnight Mage Software promises, regardless of the result of this development, that this upgraded program will be presented free of charge to our existing users. You have supported us so far, the small software developer, and this is our way of supporting you back. The offices of Midnight Mage Software will be closed the week of Jan 10th in order for us to attend MacWorld Expo San Francisco. The latest version of the Midnight Mage Software's print utility for the Mac OS X Address Book provides features for our international users. You can now print mailing labels in the correct format of all 33 countries supported by the OS X 10.2 Address Book. Also included is the German & French localization of product. Other changes within this update include the newest version of the eSellerate registration system and a product name change from RollCall to RollCall Directory. This change was made in order to avoid possible confusion and conflict with other similarly named programs.
